Position Title:    Protection Officer

Location:            [Kirkuk, Iraq]
Duration:           [ Two months, with the possibility of extension]

About Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch:

Kurdistan Organization for Human Rights Watch (KOHRW) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization that was established in 1989 as a national NGO. KOHRW has contributed to humanitarian services and different development programs in the Kurdistan region and Iraq. KOHRW specializes in six areas of expertise: Human Rights, Protection, Shelter& WASH, Livelihood, Social Cohesion, and Education.

 


Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide case management and psychosocial support to survivors of violence within refugee communities.
    • Implement violence prevention activities targeting both male and female refugees.
    • Facilitate violence awareness and prevention campaigns in refugee areas or communities.
    • Coordinate with local authorities to improve protection mechanisms for violence survivors among refugees.
    • Train staff and community members on violence response protocols and survivor support.
    • Develop monitoring tools to track violence case management progress and impact.
