Project objective and description:
Strengthening the media for democratic transformation in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, by strengthening the media and encouraging it to work towards bringing about a democratic transformation in society.
The Media Strengthening Project for awareness campaigns for 300 beneficiaries on the right to information, human rights and networking, and conducting 3 training courses each for 3 days for 15 participants (journalists and independents) with a total of 45 beneficiaries. Training courses for every 10 beneficiaries on laws related to journalists, freedom of expression and access to information, then identification of 20 forums (10 local and 10 international), creation and management of a WhatsApp group by a university trainee in the organization, for 500 beneficiaries which will bring journalists with police officers / Asayish together For the purpose of updating security developments and exchanging experiences - a study visit for 6 beneficiaries for a period of 3 days to one of the journalists' forums in the European Union in the Kurdistan Region and identifying the beneficiaries for the next stage.
